Network Specifications
Hostpod utilizes cisco routers and switches in all network facilities. All of Hostpod's network hardware is fully tested before being placed on our network. In the case of a hardware failure or malfunction there are always backup routers and switches on hand to ensure no downtime due to hardware failure.
Intelligent Routing
BGP is at the heart of the Hostpod network,all our backbone providers have peering agreements with
multiple carriers,all network traffic leaving the Hostpod network will take the best route to the final
destination this insures very low latency and high performance.
Backbone Providers
Hostpod is directly connected to 100 MB/sec Fast Ethernet ports in advanced data centers provided by Tier
1 Backbone providers including UUNET,Sprint,ATT and Abovenet. Hostpod's bandwidth is not limited by T1 or T3 connections,there is virtually unlimited bandwidth that can be utilized within seconds.
Network Monitoring
Hostpod monitors its network connections 24/7 by industry standard monitoring tools in addition to the advanced backbone monitoring utilized by our providers. We will always be informed ahead of time of potential problems. |
